David Joyner is a faith leader and church administrator based in North Carolina. He has dedicated his career to pastoral ministry, leadership development, and community service. Through his work in North Carolina churches and regional leadership roles, David Joyner supports congregations, mentors pastors, and guides church communities in spiritual growth and organizational leadership.
In 2024, David Joyner was appointed Heritage District Superintendent for the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church. In this leadership role, he oversees more than fifty churches and their pastors, offering guidance and support to clergy and local church leaders across the district.
As superintendent, David Joyner also participates in strategic leadership within the conference and serves on the Bishop’s Cabinet, helping shape decisions that affect churches throughout the region. He also serves on several governing boards. He serves on the Board of Trustees at North Carolina Wesleyan University and Louisburg College, contributing to institutional leadership and oversight.
When he is not working, he likes to go on cruises. He has been on over 40 cruises and has visited more than four continents.
